EYS SCREW SEPARATORS - EYS Screw Separators – Description

EYS screw separators are designed to dewater fiber-rich organic slurries such as animal manure. They are widely used to separate the solid and liquid fractions of farm wastes. Thousands of EYS separators have been successfully serving demanding customers around the world for many years even in the most harsh conditions. Our screw press separators are known for their high separation efficiency and high amount of dry-matter content in the separated solids.

Why EYS separator?

There are a few types of manure dewatering equipment available today and a screw separator is one of the most effective. Static screens can only remove not large volumes of water due to lack of pressure. Belt presses cannot provide dewatered manure humidity enough and are expensive in maintenance as a rule. Screw separators discharge very dry cake at high performance, low power consumption and low cost. They do not need constant operator’s inspections and maintenance.

Model range

EYS Company offers screw separators of 5 different models: SP-400, SP-600, SP-800, SP-600 HD, SP-800.

SP-400, SP-600, SP-800 models are used for dewatering of cow and swine manure. The humidity of the wet manure is 65-74% depending on the qualities and composition of the manure as well as your demands.

SP-600 HD and SP-800 models have a strengthened structure, to be more specific a brush, a scew and a more powerful motor-reducer. These models are used when reduced humidity of the dewatered product is needed (for example of brewers' draff, distillery stillage, slaughterhouse waster) together with a system of fast composting. The humidity of the wet manure is 45-60 % depending on the qualities and composition of the manure as well as your demands.

Why Should You Separate?

Raw manure is material difficult to handle. It is hard to transport and to store. It causes odor and harbors disease carrying insects. By manure separating you can not only minimize these inherent disadvantages but also turn this waste material into a useful by-product. Some of these additional benefits are:

  • Separated solids can either be used or sold as fertilizer following a shorter period of composting;
  • Separated solids can be used as bedding material;
  • Separated liquid can be irrigated on farm land or used to feed your flushing system;
  • Overall slurry storage costs decrease due to reduced volume;
  • Odor and health risks decrease;
  • Contamination of underground water sources is prevented by eliminating liquid manure run-off.
