Electroflotation is a process of floating of pollutants to water surface by tiny bubbles of hydrogen and oxygen gases generated from water electrolysis. These bubbles collect pollutants (surface-active agents, oil products, grease), carry them to the surface and form flotation sludge.

Wastewater treatment process in E-fl series units is completely automatic. Polluted water after agents processing is fed to the inlet chamber and then flows over a baffle to the flotation chamber. As a result of electrolysis of water, gas microbubbles are generated. They accumulate dirty, oily particles and raise them to the wastewater surface. Generated flotation sludge is removed by scrapers into the sludge collecting section.

The treated water is sent to the next stage of purification or into the sewage system. The mechanical scraper is a chain mechanism situated on the frame structure with a mounted electric drive and gear-box. In HYDRIG electroflotation units of E-fl series insoluble electrodes are used. In the operation process, the electrodes produce oxygen and hydrogen. A ventilation hood is required for their removal.

The degree of purification in electroflotation units can reach 99.9% because the liquid flow is almost laminar and there is no destruction of the agglomerates formed by flotation complexes and gas bubbles.
