Aeration elements are used for air distribution by going through perforated material: fine bubbles are lifting to the water surface at a high speed. Tube and disk aerators (diffusors) are most common. The choice of a specific modification is determined by the design and dimensions of the tank.
Aeration tanks. The use of aeration systems allows efficient biological treatment. Removal of organic contaminants is carried out by means of oxygen oxidation and the biomass increase. Fine-bubble aeration provides effective air distribution while evenly saturating the water with oxygen.
Flotation. The aeration elements promote wastewater treatment of suspensions which cannot be removed by precipitation. Foreign particles are carried away with the air flow, float up and remain on the surface as foam, which can be easily removed.
Aerobic stabilizing tanks. The use of aeration elements prevents sludge from rotting and removes a significant portion of moisture. Sludge stirring by airflow eliminates formation of stagnant areas.
Water reservoirs. An artificial pond needs continuous aeration. Otherwise the water quickly turns green and becomes uninhabitable for fish. With the help of aeration elements it is possible to accelerate oxidation, thereby clear the pond. High percentage of oxygen positively affects the life cycle of fish.
Fisheries. Aeration allows to create optimal conditions for fish that is transported or stored in landlocked tanks. The lack of oxygen under such conditions is particularly typical for the summer.
